It’s hard being a teenager, isn’t it?
I believe that most of you must have been through this feeling at least once in a lifetime. Lonely and alienated.

A time when no one seems to understand you how hard it is to be mom and dad’s nice kid, be a popular one in class and be a wonderful boy/girlfriend at the same time.

All that is tough enough, but the rain keeps falling on your head.

Out of the blue, your lovely boy/girlfriend dumps you. And now, no one is on your side and pain become your only friend. It’s your secret remedy. Each time that cold knife cuts through your skin, you are free from all pains.

Everything is under control.
Right?

Nationality: Thai

Was: graduated from Department of International Relations, Faculty of Political Science, Chulalongkorn University (BA 2nd class honours). Then was working in an English magazine called BK magazine as a junior writer.
Now: studying photography (Diploma) at London College of Communication, University of the Arts London.

This is my personal project inspired by “the virgin suicides” (a film by Sofia Coppola), “rouge” (a novel by Yu Miri) and my past relationship.

การใช้ชีวิตอย่างเด็กวัยรุ่นในเมืองใหญ่ไม่ใช่เรื่องง่าย

อาจไม่ใช่ทุกคน แต่วัยรุ่นส่วนใหญ่ (มักจะเป็นเด็กผู้หญิง หรือวัยรุ่นที่นิยมเพศเดียวกัน) ย่อมต้องเคยผ่านความรู้สึกโดดเดี่ยว อ้างว้าง แปลกแยกกันมาบ้างสักครั้งในช่วงหนึ่งของชีวิตวัยรุ่นของพวกเธอ/เขา จะไม่ให้รู้สึกเช่นนั้นได้อย่างไร ในเมื่อพวกเธอ/เขาต้องเผชิญกับแรงกดดันจากทั้งครอบครัวและสภาพแวดล้อมในโรงเรียน /มหาวิทยาลัย ต้องเป็นทั้งลูกที่ดี ต้องเป็นที่ยอมรับของเพื่อน ต้องเป็นคนรักที่ดี

และในวันเวลาที่ทุกสิ่งไม่เคยง่าย ชีวิตก็ยังคงส่งบททดสอบมาให้

เมื่อจู่ๆ คนรักที่เคยคบกันก็มาทอดทิ้งไป สำหรับวัยรุ่นที่มีเรื่องอื่นให้คิดมากมายอยู่แล้ว นี่ย่อมไม่ใช่เรื่องที่พวกเธอ/เขา จะรับมือได้ในฉับพลัน ไม่มีใครเข้าใจเธอ/เขา ผู้คนต่างมองว่ามันเป็นเรื่องเล็ก แล้วพวกเธอ/เขาเหล่านั้นจะหันไปหาใคร? คมมีดที่บาดผิวกลายเป็นเพื่อนสนิทที่สุดของพวกเธอ/เขา ทุกครั้งที่แผ่นมีดเย็นเยียบสัมผัสกับผิวเนื้อ พวกเธอ/เขา รู้สึกได้ว่าความเจ็บปวดในจิตใจได้รับการเยียวยาทีละน้อย

พวกเธอ/เขาคิดว่านี่คือสิ่งที่ควบคุมได้
แต่แน่หรือว่ามันเป็นเช่นนั้น?
